Forget those winter blues and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine at Chimney Rock. Join us for a free guided hike to the tallest waterfall on the east coastHickory Nut Fallsat an incredible 404 feet. Along the way, see how springs approach is changing the Parks diverse scenery. Note: If Hickory Nut Falls trail is closed due to ice melt at the falls, hike will be held on the Four Seasons trail. Meet our trail guide for the hike in front of Cliff Dwellers Gifts at 1pm.

The Parks beauty changes with each season. Bare tree branches sparkle with frost and clear views reward wintertime hikers. Enjoy the serenity of Chimney Rock during the off season and learn how to recognize trees and shrubs without their leaves. Participants will see about 30 different trees along this easy 2-hour woodland excursion. Meet our trail guide for the hike in front of Cliff Dwellers Gifts at 1pm. All Off the Beaten Path guided hikes require advance reservations. Please call 800- 277-9611 to register. Be sure to request our optional hikers lunch for just $8.95. A hikers lunch includes your choice of ham, turkey or veggie sandwich, condiments, chips, a cookie and bottled water. We even deliver your lunch to your event location. Dont forget to wear comfortable shoes and to bring water and your camera.
